Aphesis is the second EP by By Way Of. This is a remixed/remastered version of the original release from 2017 to coincide with a re-release project in 2020 to unify all of our releases under the band name.

This is the bands first release featuring live recorded drums by John Valles.

The name of each song is an example of aphesis in some form. The meaning behind the song names and title represents the changes that happen in language slowly through time, across cultures, and over large geographic distances. This relates to changes in human life and the things we carry with us or let go. The people in our lives, our habits, and insecurities are in a constant state of change that shapes who we are.
